Wrap & Pack Guide

Packing Guides

Our box program is designed for small remote offices or any entity that needs to return a few pieces of equipment.

The program is simple:

  1. Customer provides EPC with a list of equipment and locations.
  2. EPC sends out empty boxes with packing materials, return label and instructions to each location.
  3. Client’s employee follows instructions to pack up equipment and sets up a pickup/dropoff for the return.
  4. Items are shipped back to EPC facility and processed in accordance to the clients specific requirements.

Laser Printer in cart

Step 1

Place the laser printer on a clean, level surface. All laser printers should have the toner cartridge removed and packaged separately when shipping to EPC, Inc. Open the laser printer and carefully remove the laser printer’s toner cartridge.

Step 3

While the laser printer’s toner cartridge will be packaged separately, it will be sent in the same box as the laser printer. Remember: All laser printers should have the toner cartridge removed and packaged separately when shipping to EPC, Inc.

Step 4

Assemble a box large and deep enough to accommodate the laser printer and toner cartridge you’re sending. If you have any questions about the laser printer, toner cartridge and bubble wrap fitting inside the box, please measure the size of the box with a tape measure. Ensure that the box has no visible damage on the outside. All existing labels, markings and graphics should be blacked out or removed.

Step 5

Use standard bubble wrap, criss-crossed across the center of the box as shown in the image above. The goal with all products center to EPC, Inc. is to minimize movement of the components inside the box to avoid damage.

Step 6

Center the laser printer above the middle of the box and bubble wrap. Having a box that satisfies your needs, but isn’t “too big” or “too small” is vital to shipping laser printers. Is your box the right size? Carefully slide the laser printer into the box, until it reaches the bottom. Carefully fold in the excess bubble wrap, and place the laser printer’s toner cartridge into the box on any of the 4 sides of the box. Layer in the excess bubble wrap to help ensure that nothing in the package is moving. Use additional wads of bubble wrap to ensure that nothing inside the package will be moving while it’s in transit.

Replace label with new outgoing one

Step 7

Fold in each of the four flaps of the box. The fit of all components inside the box should be snug, and nothing should be moving freely. Please add as much extra bubble wrap to ensure that nothing inside the package is moving.
